Things Every Bride Thinks/Feels On Her Wedding Day:

Cold feet doesn't necessarily mean what you think it means.....

It's perfectly normal to feel or think a range of different things on their wedding day. Nervous, excited, scared, or worried, it's one of the biggest days of your life and you have every right to feel what you feel.  Some brides have spent months, if not years envisioning this day and when it finally arrives it can be exhilarating! The excitement and nerves of seeing everything come together and knowing one other person is feeling the same way, can bring on a roller coaster of emotions. Just know that when you start walking down the aisle and see your groom waiting for you, you're both in it together and those feelings will drift away with each step you take closer to him. So don't fret!

A few of the questions/concerns I've had from past brides has really given me the opportunity to hone in on the pre-ceremony wedding jitters and how and why it occurs. Ladies this one is for you.  Enjoy!

Top 5 things a bride is most likely to think on her wedding day

1) "Will everything go according to plan?" Most brides tend to think of their timeline. Regardless of whether or not they have a coordinator the day of (you should!) the feeling of having to be in control and letting that go, can be a hard thing to get through. However, that feeling usually goes away moments before walking down the aisle!

2) "Will everyone have a good time?" Months and months of planning and you want to make sure everyone is enjoying the details you have dreamt of. You want your guests to leave the night saying, "this was the best wedding ever!" so feelings of brief anxiety and paranoia may set in.

3) "What if I fumble my words?" I can't tell you how many brides have asked me this! It's a clear case of stage fright and that is perfectly normal. It's not every day you're center stage!

4) “What if someone else messes up?” There are quite a few team members helping your dream day come to life. With so many people involved in the back end of things, it can get a little dicey so those feelings are more than warranted. Trust that you made the right choice in hiring the vendors that will do the best job they can to make sure your day is flawless.

5) “What Will My Pictures Look Like?” I've had brides worry about this for hours even after the reception was over! Yes, some of us don’t like taking pictures and when we do, we immediately stress out about what it’s going to look like. Think about this, if you’re at your happiest state, every single picture will be a reflection of that. That happiness will be captured and that is all that matters!

Dulce Dreams Events : Featured on Brides!

I'm so excited about this guys!

I was recently asked to participate in a feature for Brides.com detailing some of the things brides should not forget to do the morning of their wedding. What an honor! My thoughts were presented alongside some other fab planners from across the country and I have to say, we all had some pretty awesome advice. Check out the feature HERE and let me know your thoughts! Any ideas we may have missed?

Also, below you'll find some other tips and tricks I like to tell my blushing brides the day before their I DO's. Enjoy!

Plan Your Spa Day
Mani & Pedi’s are not meant to be done the day of your wedding! It may be a relaxing time for yourself any other day, but on your wedding day it causes a lot of stress and anxiousness. Make sure this is done at least two days before so you don't have to worry about it!

Don’t Party Too Hard!
Not only does alcohol make you feel groggy in the morning but it also can cause inflammation and bloating, neither of which you want accompanying you down the aisle.

Hydrate
It’s always traditional to drink champagne the morning of your wedding but most brides forget to drink water! We all know the benefits of drinking water but we underestimate how much it helps you concentrate and leaves you refreshed and alert.

Keep It all Organized
Your bridal suite is where you will spend most of your morning so keep it organized! Misplacing earrings or missing a shoe causes too much stress in a time of need. Keep it clean ladies!

Know Your Timeline
You don’t have to know exactly when and where every vendor is (that’s my  job!) but you should know key parts like when you should be ready for portraits or when it’s time to walk down the aisle. You certainly don’t have to watch the clock, but having a grasp on time will make your day that more efficient and leave room for some extra party time. All good things!
